Peaceful retreat houses in Granada’s Alpujarra, surrounded by natural beauty
The surroundings of the Cortijo are filled with flora, birds, and other wildlife. From La Viñuela, you can set off on foot through a small wooden gate that leads to an extensive network of local trails. There are also opportunities for mountain hikes of all levels, some of which follow ancient medieval routes once used for the silk trade. Las Alpujarras was the last region in Spain under Muslim control and supplied silk to the workshops of Almería and Granada until the 16th century.
